I am thrilled to be part of this juried show !
Ontario Society of Arists Emerging Artists Exhibition
December 3rd – January 5th 2015
Joseph D Carrier Gallery, 901 Lawrence Avenue East , Toronto
Opening receptions Wednesday December 3rd 6:30pm-9pm
The first and most important part of art making is to have a connection with the material. I was glad to have arrived first so that I could touch and feel the energy of each log and find the one that spoke to me. Only 2 did. Before starting your next piece, invest the time to “be” with your material — if it does not *feel right* then it isn’t. Use whatever does feel right, even if it is something that you would never think to use. Especially then.
A key part of my art practice is stretching my boundaries and trying new things: new techniques, new materials, or new combinations. I enjoy taking workshops where I get exposed anything outside my normal practice .
I am thrilled to be part of the 13th Juried Emerging Sculptors Exhibition presented by the Sculptor’s Society of Canada Exhibition Aug 15 – September 7th. Hope to see you at the Opening Reception Aug 16, 6:30pm

I will be featured in the Sept 6th issue of PAPIRMASSE. Please check out my poem “What I did on my summer vacation”
From the Papirmasse website www.papirmasse.com:
“Our postcard contest garnered entries from all over the world.
Here, in no particular order, are the winners. Their winning entries will be
posted online September 6 when we reveal our September issue online.”
I am happy report that “Corn” by reveDna Collective won Honourable mention at “Time Frame”. My piece “Saw clock” in the same show has been sold.
“Time Frame” features a wide variety of wonderful art: photography, painting, and mixed media – by a group of talented artists. This shows runs until July 10th at the beautifully restored Alton Mill Gallery. A trip to the mill site, galleries and surrounding countryside is definitely worth the trip and makes for a wonderful outing for the whole family. www.altonmill.ca
